Tren Al Sur: De las narrativas olvidadas a las nuevas representaciones férreas

Abstract

El proyecto se ubica al sur de Bogotá en las estaciones del ferrocarril ubicadas en Bosa, Soacha, Chusacá, Sibaté, El Charquito y El Salto del Tequendama. Estas estaciones forman parte del Ferrocarril del Sur, un sistema ferroviario que desempeñó un papel crucial en el desarrollo urbano, económico e industrial de la región hasta su cese de operaciones en 1945. Actualmente, estos inmuebles patrimoniales se encuentran en abandono, sin un uso definido y con un progresivo deterioro físico, lo que ha generado desapego por parte de la comunidad y una pérdida de su valor histórico, simbólico y estético. Se propone visibilizar los valores patrimoniales del Ferrocarril del Sur mediante la construcción de una narrativa audiovisual-arquitectónica que permita su reconstrucción digital. Este enfoque busca rescatar y poner en valor los atributos estéticos y constructivos del sistema, promoviendo un mayor reconocimiento y reflexión sobre su significado histórico. A pesar de su declaratoria patrimonial, el ferrocarril ha sido valorado de manera parcial, centrándose en los edificios de pasajeros sin considerar el sistema en su conjunto. La propuesta se estructura a partir de tres ejes fundamentales. Primero, la identificación y caracterización de las transformaciones del Sistema del Ferrocarril del Sur desde una perspectiva físico-espacial, estética y constructiva. Segundo, la fundamentación teórica sobre la aplicación de narrativas audiovisuales para la valoración del patrimonio material, lo que permitirá establecer una metodología efectiva para su reconstrucción digital. Tercero, la representación digital de las estaciones del ferrocarril del sur desde el año 1890 hasta 1945, resaltando sus atributos y el contexto inmediato en el que se desarrollaron.

En este sentido, el proyecto busca generar una propuesta integral que no solo recupere la memoria histórica del Ferrocarril del Sur, sino que también fomente un vínculo activo con la ciudadanía a través de una estrategia de divulgación basada en narrativas digitales. Al reconstruir y documentar digitalmente estos espacios, se contribuye a la preservación de un legado patrimonial que, a pesar de su deterioro físico, sigue siendo un testimonio fundamental del desarrollo del territorio.

The project is located south of Bogotá at the railway stations located in Bosa, Soacha, Chusacá, Sibaté, El Charquito and El Salto del Tequendama. These stations are part of the Southern Railway, a railway system that played a crucial role in the urban, economic and industrial development of the region until its cessation of operations in 1945. Currently, these heritage buildings are abandoned, without a defined use and with a progressive physical deterioration, which has generated detachment on the part of the community and a loss of their historical, symbolic and aesthetic value. It is proposed to make visible the heritage values of the Southern Railway through the construction of an audiovisual-architectural narrative that allows its digital reconstruction. This approach seeks to rescue and value the aesthetic and constructive attributes of the system, promoting greater recognition and reflection on its historical significance. Despite its heritage declaration, the railway has been partially valued, focusing on passenger buildings without considering the system as a whole. The proposal is structured around three fundamental axes. First, the identification and characterization of the transformations of the Southern Railway System from a physical-spatial, aesthetic and constructive perspective. Second, the theoretical foundation on the application of audiovisual narratives for the valuation of tangible heritage, which will allow establishing an effective methodology for its digital reconstruction. Third, the digital representation of the stations of the Southern Railway from 1890 to 1945, highlighting their attributes and the immediate context in which they were developed.

In this sense, the project seeks to generate a comprehensive proposal that not only recovers the historical memory of the Southern Railway, but also fosters an active link with citizens through a dissemination strategy based on digital narratives. By digitally reconstructing and documenting these spaces, it contributes to the preservation of a heritage legacy that, despite its physical deterioration, continues to be a fundamental testimony of the development of the territory.
