    Abstract

    El desarrollo de las competencias y estándares que tienen que ver con el pensamiento espacial y geométrico, que se trabajan dentro de los contenidos de la asignatura geometría en los establecimientos educativos Instituto Técnico Central la Salle y Fundación Colegio Mayor San Bartolomé, instituciones donde se desarrolló la presente investigación, se enfrenta a una práctica docente y didáctica con enfoque tradicional y escaso apoyo de las nuevas tecnologías como lo son los software educativos dinámicos, situación que permitió plantear como objetivo, el diseño de una secuencia de actividades basadas en los niveles y fases de razonamiento geométrico de Van Hiele por medio del uso del software educativo GeoGebra con los estudiantes de grado noveno, específicamente con la temática del teorema de Pitágoras. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se elaboró inicialmente una prueba diagnóstica inicial para tener como referente el nivel de razonamiento geométrico, según el modelo de Van Hiele a partir del cual se diseñaron y realizaron la secuencia de actividades apoyadas con el software educativo GeoGebra que a la vez tuvo como eje central las fases de aprendizaje del modelo anteriormente mencionado; una vez finalizada la implementación de la propuesta, se aplicó una prueba final, de manera que se tuviera un referente del avance en el nivel de razonamiento de los estudiantes una vez participaron en la ejecución de la propuesta didáctica y así poder analizar, discutir y concluir aspectos relevantes para fortalecer la didáctica de la geometría
