dc.descriptionEl papel de la arquitectura en la recuperación de un lugar que ha perdido la identidad histórica, permite identificar la importancia de la ruina como parte del patrimonio arquitectónico en el caso del municipio de Armero, Colombia, que luego de la avalancha del 13 de noviembre de 1985, produjo la fragmentación de la estructura social y económica del sector es así que los datos sugieren la pertinencia de una intervención arquitectónica para la recuperación del edificio Hospital San Lorenzo como galería patrimonial resaltando sus características físicas. Debido al potencial turístico que despierta la memoria histórica y de las cualidades físicas con las que cuenta el departamento del Tolima se evidencia que se pueden implementar estrategias que han sido aplicadas en diferentes lugares del mundo. Los lugares referentes como el caso de Auschwitz, las torres gemelas que han sufrido situaciones semejantes a raíz de esto logran una conmemoración a las víctimas. Es necesario plantear alternativas de intervención donde se integren la memoria histórica y el potencial turístico con el fin de rescatar y afianzar la dignidad de la ciudad, a través de la aplicación de conceptos como la poética de la arquitectura, la temporalidad, la topogénesis y lo estereotómico vistos desde la perspectiva del usuario.spa
dc.description.abstractThe role of architecture in the recovery of a place that has lost its historical identity, makes it possible to identify the importance of the ruin as part of the architectural heritage in the case of the municipality of Armero, Colombia, which after the avalanche of November 13, 1985, produced the fragmentation of the sector’s social and economic structure so the data suggest the relevance of an architectural intervention for the recovery of the Hospital San Lorenzo building as a heritage gallery highlighting its physical characteristics. Due to the tourist potential that awakens the historical memory and the physical qualities that the department of Tolima has, it is evident that strategies can be implemented that have been applied in different parts of the world. Landmarks such as the Auschwitz case, the twin towers that have suffered similar situations as a result of this, achieve a commemoration of the victims. It is necessary to propose intervention alternatives that integrate the historical memory and the tourist potential in order to rescue and strengthen the dignity of the city, through the application of concepts such as the poetics of architecture, temporality, topogenesis and stereotomic viewed from the user’s perspective.spa
