dc.description.abstract	Sogamoso, ubicado en el departamento de Boyacá, Colombia, es un municipio de gran riqueza histórica y cultural. Limita al norte con Nobsa y Tibasosa, al sur con Iza y Firavitoba, al este con Corrales y Covarachía, y al oeste con Tópaga y Corrales. Uno de sus principales elementos patrimoniales es la línea férrea ubicada en la transversal 20, designada como Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) de nivel 1. Sin embargo, este valioso recurso se encuentra actualmente en estado de abandono, lo que ha impactado negativamente tanto el paisaje urbano como la cohesión social y el desarrollo cultural de la región. La comunidad local ha expresado la necesidad de contar con espacios socioculturales que promuevan la integración comunitaria, revitalicen el entorno y ofrezcan alternativas recreativas para diversos grupos etarios. En este contexto, se plantea la creación de un corredor verde que conecte la línea férrea con áreas verdes y recreativas, como una estrategia para reactivar estos espacios y mejorar la calidad de vida en el municipio. Esta investigación aborda el análisis y la propuesta de intervención en la franja verde en estado de deterioro, ubicada en la transversal 20 entre la diagonal 14 y la calle 24. Mediante un diagnóstico exhaustivo, se identificarán las condiciones actuales y las necesidades de los barrios colindantes afectados por el abandono. El proyecto busca no solo la resignificación de la línea férrea como un espacio funcional y accesible, sino también el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural y social de la comunidad, integrando el patrimonio histórico con el desarrollo urbano sostenible y respetuoso con el medio ambiente.	spa
dc.description.abstract	Sogamoso, located in the department of Boyacá, Colombia, is a municipality rich in historical and cultural heritage. Its geographical boundaries include Nobsa and Tibasosa to the north, Iza and Firavitoba to the south, Covarachía to the east, and Tópaga and Corrales to the west. Among its significant landmarks is the railway line along Transversal 20, designated as a Level 1 Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC). However, this important cultural asset currently faces a state of neglect, which has adversely affected the urban landscape, social cohesion, and cultural development of the municipality. The local community has highlighted the need for sociocultural spaces that foster community integration, enhance the aesthetic quality of the environment, and provide recreational opportunities for all age groups. In response, the proposal involves the creation of a green corridor that connects the railway line with green and recreational areas, aiming to revitalize these spaces and improve the overall quality of life in Sogamoso. This study focuses on analyzing and proposing interventions for the deteriorated green areas along Transversal 20, specifically between Diagonal 14 and Calle 24. Through a comprehensive diagnosis, the project will identify current conditions and the needs of neighboring communities affected by the abandonment. The initiative seeks to reframe the disused railway as a functional and accessible space, while also strengthening the cultural and social identity of the community.
