Abstract
In the recent decades, the Province of Alto Magdalena has become a big territory of tourism
development, for this reason it'll be possible to clinch different groups of hotel companies, which have
been building big hotels, condominiums and vacation centers, bringing together a large number of
travelers, who seek a close experience with nature, to be able to rest from the stress, of the current
COVID-19 pandemic and the pollution generated by the big cities. These hotel companies have forsaken
environmental care and biosafety protocols, which must be applied to these buildings, representing a
large ecological footprint, inducing the environmental deterioration of this territory. On the other hand,
these companies have focused on lock down the traveler in a certain space, increasing the risks of
contagion, and also using biosecurity protocols with low efficiency standards.
Therefore, it was necessary to analytically saw hotel techniques around the world, such as
glamping, which born in Africa, where the word glamor and the word camping unify, to generate a new
tourism concept, where the main attention is doing camping (at outdoors) without forgetting the enjoy
of comfort and luxury that provide the experience of glamping, and in this way generate a harmonic
connection between glamor and nature, protecting and preserving the consolidated environment.
For this reason, the innovative alternative of glamping was taking for develop tourism in the
territory. Since the activities take place at outdoor spaces and nature environments, reducing the
potential risks at health for their users. To make it possible, the municipality of Agua de Dios at the
Cundinamarca's Department have a territory that hasn't been affected by the hotel industry.
