In recent years, the Las Cruces and Santa Bárbara neighborhoods have been affected by the presence of problems at a socio-economic, functional and environmental level, where physical, structural and social deterioration are part of the daily life of its inhabitants, where they are not only the architectural heritage is in deterioration, but the intangible heritage with the disappearance of the trades and traditional activities of the people who inhabit the sector, likewise, the implementation of Av. Comuneros (Urban Development Institute, [IDU], 2010), generated a morphological fracture of the urban fabric which contracted problems of urban image in the two neighborhoods. Taking into account that this area is currently established as an area of possible development as stipulated in the city's Territorial Ordering Plan (POT), it is proposed to generate and design an urban renewal project, which restructures and transforms the area, through action strategies, so that it responds to the physical and social needs and enhances the quality of life of the inhabitants of the two neighborhoods and of the areas of influence; Additionally, to respond to the fracture, strategies are proposed based on the concept of Acupuncture in order to weave the neighborhoods giving priority to the inhabitants of both neighborhoods. Based on the foregoing, the project will implement a re-functionalization in order to establish a new activity center, which will act as an articulator and potentializer of new dynamics in the city of Bogotá.spa
