San Germán Entre Nubes Ecobarrio para el Mejoramiento Integral y regeneración del paisaje

Abstract

The proposal of the Comprehensive Improvement Plan (PMI) seeks to contribute to the situation that occurs in the San Germán neighborhood, located on the border between the towns of Usme and San Cristóbal, in the upper part of the district Ecological Park Entre Nubes, to the south east of the city of Bogotá, in an area declared as protection soil, since 2000 by the Land Use Plan (POT). The main purpose of the project is to structure an alternative for the recovery of the existing urban fabric, considering its relationship with the illegal settlement that has developed over time, through an intervention of rehabilitation and regeneration of the landscape for this place. The development of the PMI is configured minimizing the physical, environmental and legal impact that has been caused by informal occupation, deteriorating the quality of life of its population and disarticulating the sector of the urban structure within a group of cities. As a guideline, the Econeighborhood strategy is implemented that incorporates the design for different types of mobility, prioritizing bicycle paths and pedestrian paths, developing comprehensive improvement treatment over what is built as far as possible, recovering the areas in disuse and proposing an area for urban agriculture, as elements that act together to regenerate the sustainability and habitability of the San German neighborhood community.
