    Abstract

    Según Ramos (2011. p.1), uno de los factores de mayor incidencia en el confort de una edificación radica directamente en el aislamiento acústico que presenta en relación con los sonidos y ruidos provenientes de construcciones aledañas o del exterior. Aun cuando el uso de materiales aislantes (como el poliuretano, la lana mineral, la fibra de vidrio, el corcho, la espuma, el poliestireno, entre otros), se ha incrementado con el auge de los sistemas de construcción livianos (tipo Drywall), las necesidades acústicas no se satisfacen a cabalidad por deficiencia en la instalación y omisión de estos en el elemento final. Tomando como referencia la implementación de la celulosa como material base en paneles de aislamiento en Estados Unidos y Europa, este trabajo investigativo plantea láminas de celulosa compactada que solucionen correctamente tanto la acústica como el revestimiento de un recinto, supliendo ambas necesidades con un solo elemento.
