| dc.description | Tras la Reforma Protestante de Martín Lutero, el cristianismo católico entra en una notable crisis de poder que le exige tomar medidas para intentar mantener el statu quo que había logrado consolidar y mantener durante el periodo medieval. Esta escueta reflexión tiene el propósito de mostrar las bases filosóficas del Humanismo cristiano, entendido como el movimiento que teorizó sobre el cristianismo durante el periodo reformador, con el fin de recuperar los valores y los principios de esta religión durante sus primeros siglos de existencia, de manera que se pudieran presentar como la verdadera doctrina cristiana. La definición que se consiguió con esta corriente humanística estableció los argumentos de lo que fue la Contrarreforma o Reforma católica, materializada en el Concilio de Trento (1545-1563). Desde un enfoque cualitativo y a partir del análisis hermenéutico, se discurre sobre el pensamiento de los tres grandes representantes del Humanismo cristiano: Erasmo de Rotterdam, Tomas Moro y Juan Luis Vives, para establecer los principios teóricos del cristianismo del siglo XVI y analizar el papel sociológico que comenzó a ostentar a partir de entonces. Tomando como referencia los postulados expuestos, se puede inferir que el cristianismo es más que una mera creencia religiosa, supone un modelo sociológico basado en el principio de la dignidad y en el valor de la solidaridad. La aplicación de este modelo, por tanto, puede considerarse una alternativa viable para la construcción y estructuración de la sociedad. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | After Martin Luther's Protestant Reformation, Catholic Christianity enters into a notable crisis of power that requires it to take measures to try to maintain the status quo that it had managed to consolidate and maintain during the medieval period. The purpose of this brief reflection is to show the philosophical bases of Christian Humanism, understood as the movement that theorized about Christianity during the Reformation period, with the aim of recovering the values and principles of this religion during its first centuries of existence, so that they could be presented as the true Christian doctrine. The definition that was achieved with this humanistic current established the arguments of what was the Counter Reformation or Catholic Reformation, materialized in the Council of Trent (1545-1563). From a qualitative approach and on the basis of hermeneutic analysis, we discuss the thinking of the three great representatives of Christian Humanism: Erasmus of Rotterdam, Thomas More and Juan Luis Vives, in order to establish the theoretical principles of Christianity in the 16th century and analyze the sociological role it began to play thereafter. Taking as a reference the exposed postulates, it can be inferred that Christianity is more than a mere religious belief, it supposes a sociological model based on the principle of dignity and the value of solidarity. The application of this model, therefore, can be considered a viable alternative for the construction and structuring of society. | en |
