dc.descriptionEn el capítulo del profesor Baldwin se muestra un panorama general del desarrollo de la filosofía del lenguaje en el siglo XX. Señala la famosa expresión de Bergman, ulteriormente popularizada por Richard Rorty, “the linguistic turn”, como el hito fundacional de un nuevo enfoque en la filosofía que entiende al lenguaje como su principal fuente, recurso y objetivo. El lenguaje no es simplemente una realidad contingente e independiente , susceptible de ciertas formas de estudio, sino que en vez de esto, en el se muestra una relación inherente y esencial con aquello que podemos designar como el mundo. La relación lenguaje mundo es el núcleo de aquello que podemos denominar filosofía del lenguaje (Baldwin, 2006: 60). Así el autor dedicará este espléndido capítulo del utilísimo manual, para mostrar tal relación en los autores más relevantes de la filosofía del lenguaje en el siglo XX.spa
dc.description.abstractProfessor Baldwin's chapter provides an overview of the development of the philosophy of language in the twentieth century. He points to Bergman's famous expression, later popularized by Richard Rorty, “the linguistic turn,” as the foundational landmark of a new approach in philosophy that understands language as its primary source, resource, and goal. Language is not simply a contingent and independent reality, susceptible to certain forms of study, but instead shows an inherent and essential relation to that which we may designate as the world. The language-world relation is the core of what we can call philosophy of language (Baldwin, 2006: 60). Thus the author will dedicate this splendid chapter of the very useful manual, to show such relation in the most relevant authors of the philosophy of language in the 20th century.en
