llegando finalmente a unos resultados.
Abstract
Architectural heritage is part of the most important values and legacies in existence. Therefore,
it is essential build tools that allow us to protect, know and value them and their history. To this end,
tools have been developed that have adapted over time, among them the LIDAR scanner technique,
used in this research for the process of architectural surveying of the case study in La Mesa,
Cundinamarca, recognizing a new technology that allows the capture of data and information in
heritage architecture projects and difficult to access. This allows the necessary data collection during the
process to be done in a more precise way, generating an accurate BIM model from the scanner. A
mobile device with these capabilities was used, which is much more economically accessible. A
comparison is made between the analog survey, which is the currently in force and certified by the
Ministry of Culture, where the process and its implications are analyzed, finally reaching some results.
It was necessary to study a cultural asset, the La Esperanza railway station in La Mesa,
Cundinamarca, which is among the most important heritage assets in Colombia, along with the set of
passenger stations of the railway, declared a national monument in 1996 with decree 746. The La
Esperanza Station is one of the most affected by the problems that arose from the abandonment of this
infrastructure and is currently in a state of continuous deterioration.
