Abstract
In Colombia, facilities are proposed for different social, educational, lucrative cultural
purposes, among others. Various projects have been outlined to address the problem of invasion
by street dwellers, but none of these have gone from conceptual to practical, either in financial
terms or collaborations. The equipment that will be presented in this work will be with the
purpose of improving the deficit of integration and education equipment in the San Bernardo
neighborhood in the city of Bogotá, Colombia.
The purpose of this degree work is to provide a thought and vision to the student
community of opportunity and social visibility, for which the user in its multiple facets will be
presented in order to support an idea on how to incorporate the street dweller with the
inhabitants. street and also about how to widen or weave the city from a coherent and gradual
urban proposal, since with this an urban identity could be obtained, which is a relevant topic in
all academic and political discussions in the country today, since it articulates social aspects, city
formation and citizenship.
Taking this into account and to understand this problem a little more, the panorama at the
city level is a case of a high degree of incidence. Well, the city, in the same way as many others
in the country, protects the street inhabitant among its residents. This is usually rejected by the
city. Therefore, this document seeks in the first instance to understand the way in which the
street user lives and to study the different places and programs that the city government presents
to him for his reintegration into society and to propose a solid model. and complete.
The research question will revolve around one of the alternatives from the field of
architecture, which is the design that can provide a higher quality of life to street dwellers, since
they would have a complex or place of stay and permanence, of public character, composed of a wide variety of spaces, and open to the neighborhood and the community of San Bernardo. In
this way, it would be possible to satisfy the collective and individual needs of street dwellers and
at the same time of the residents of the San Bernardo neighborhood. Therefore, this should be
seen as an architectural space of citizen appropriation and at the same time articulating with the
same environment or neighborhood.
