Abstract

This thesis focuses on the importance of conducting in-depth research to be able to design an interactive museum in the municipality of Armero-Guayabal that can generate immersive spaces that allow visitors to understand the magnitude of the natural disaster that occurred in the region and honor the victims. It is crucial that the museum design incorporates technology so that visitors can learn about the history and culture of the region and thus make the museum relevant and meaningful to the local community. It also highlights the idea of vulnerability to natural phenomena and how people may be harmed if they are not in adequate security conditions in the event of a hazardous event. It is therefore important to take appropriate measures to protect the population and prevent them from being harmed in the event of a hazardous event. The design of the interactive museum can help raise awareness of these issues and foster a culture of prevention and resilience in the community. In summary, this thesis highlights the importance of research and the use of technology in the design of the interactive museum to honor the memory of the victims of the natural disaster and to build the capacity to adapt to adverse situations in the local community.
