Abstract

During its historical trajectory, the San Victorino neighborhood, located in the heart of the city of Bogotá, has been the site of various events that today make it an area of relevance for the social, economic and cultural stability of both the city and its surroundings. This is why a functional and practical design of the public space is required that adapts to the existing architectural and urban infrastructure, as well as to its immediate context, without damaging or hindering the space. To address this situation, the creation of a sustainable and comprehensive urban revitalization project that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular Sustainable Cities and Communities Goal 11, is proposed. The project focuses on the implementation of physical strategies in terms of its organization and approach; aesthetic through creative, collaborative processes; and functional forming comfortable, spacious and safe spaces that mitigate the problems of insecurity, informal trade, deterioration of infrastructure, pollution and overcrowding in the urban space of the neighborhood. The result of this would be a new representative image of the neighborhood that takes into account cultural and sustainable factors, and also seeks to have a positive impact on the socioeconomic and environmental growth of the sector, adapting to the different types of inhabitants that live there and the floating population that circulates in the area.
