    Abstract

    De acuerdo a las nuevas agendas urbanas, actualmente uno de los retos más significativos de la funcionalidad de las ciudades es el aspecto de la movilidad y el transporte. En este caso, las teorías recientes propenden por la configuración de ciudades más compactas, como lo propuesto por la ciudad de los 15 minutos, o por la incorporación de sistemas de transporte alternativos como la bicicleta. También se han alentado los desarrollos urbanos orientados al transporte sostenible (Dots) y se promueve el uso de transportes masivos por encima de los transportes privados. Sin embargo, estas teorías, aunque aplicables a las ciudades latinoamericanas, en algunos casos, proponen estrategias e intervenciones que no son suficientes para transformar las condiciones de la movilidad en las ciudades contemporáneas y que no logran aportar lo suficiente en los alcances para el cumplimiento de las agendas mencionadas, ya que la transformación del proceso de movilidad no es el único aspecto que se requiere para impactar con acciones más concretas en las dimensiones sociales, económicas y ambientales del desarrollo sostenible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyIRyuwU_qk&list=PLQmO5DIlGNOxAZzws-OM26_7h016_UWiJ&index=31
