La guadua es un material constructivo y estructural, reconocido por la Norma Colombiana Sismo Resistente NSR-10 y parte de su estudio e implementación abarca el desarrollo de prototipos que permiten evaluar diferentes aspectos de su uso a escala real. En este contexto el grupo de investigación Hábitat Tecnológico y Construcción planteó un evento que pretendía mostrar las diferentes temáticas manejadas por sus investigadores en torno al uso de este material y cómo pueden ser evaluadas sus características y condiciones en cada parámetro. Para ello, se involucraron a estudiantes de los semilleros de investigación del grupo para el desarrollo de un workshop que los acercaba, por medio de la elaboración de modelos a escala, a lo que implica el desarrollo de prototipos reales.

Abstract
Guadua is a construction and structural material, recognized by the Colombian Seismic Resistant Standard NSR-10 and part of its study and implementation includes the development of prototypes that allow evaluating different aspects of its use on a real scale. In this context, the research group Hábitat Tecnológico y Construcción held an event that sought to show the different issues handled by its researchers around the use of this material and how its characteristics and conditions can be evaluated in each parameter. For this, students from the group's research hotbeds were involved in the development of a workshop that brought them closer, through the elaboration of scale models, to what the development of real prototypes implies.
