Adoterra: construcciones vernáculas rurales optimizadas para el municipio de Une Cundinamarca

Abstract

The municipality of Une has a high housing deficit, both qualitative and quantitative, according to figures from the (National Administrative Department of Statistics DANE, 2018) mainly in the villages of San Luis, Combura and San Isidro. Initially, research was carried out on theoretical bases such as: books, articles and magazines, which provided relevant information about the required materials. Subsequently, data collection in the field through surveys, a photographic record and the diagnosis of the physical state of the houses, knowing the housing needs of the communities, predominant materiality (adobe), existing typologies and pathologies (undermining, cracks and loss of material). Parallel to the field work, an adobe prototype was made with the contemporary technique of the region, characterizing the material and carrying out laboratory tests. According to the results obtained from the investigation, an architectural solution was proposed through the design of the rural housing prototype, through vernacular construction methods of the region through structural optimization in adobillo, orienting towards a process of progressive self construction, with in order to have better living conditions in these villages.
