Rescate arquitectónico del hospital Jorge Cavelier

Abstract

With the aim of returning the value to the old Jorge Cavelier hospital, a recovery and rehabilitation proposal is proposed, establishing it as a complement to develop a second-level hospital in the municipality of Cajicá, considering the historical importance of the building, since it has been the protagonist of different important historical events, becoming a cultural symbol for the population. For this reason, the main objective of this degree work is to focus on the historic center of Cajicá, where an analysis of architectural pathologies will be carried out on the property, based on these results, a conservation and revitalization will be carried out, in order to return its use. , adapting it to the needs of the population, in addition to generating the integration of this with its immediate environment. The research question is answered through the analysis of pathologies evidenced in the property to intervene, from these to reach a conclusion to carry out the restoration properly. In addition, the responses received in the surveys carried out on the inhabitants, obtaining as a result the reception to generate a connection with the existing Jorge Cavelier health post and convert them into a second level. In this context, the aim is to generate a network of health facilities, making a connection between the structure to be intervened, with the existing health post, through a bridge generated on the third level of both buildings, in order to create a complement between them, preventing the population from having to travel to other municipalities to receive care.
