Living Square: Sharing Heritage

Abstract

“Living Square: Sharing Heritage”, is a project that was born from the Architecture Student Contest of the leading company in comfort solutions: Saint-Gobain, which in its XVII version that summons for proposals and innovations in sustainable architectural projects in the city of Warsaw, Poland. The project is strategically located in a residential, cultural and educational neighborhood in the city of Warsaw, in Praga Południe district. It has a connection with the bus and train station of the district with the city and the rest of the country. Living Square: Sharing Heritage is a residential, educational and historical complex that provides 226 student residences, a wellness center, a multi-family housing, the renovation of the Josef Rosenthal factory as a Polish heritage center, workshop and traveling museum; where also, the central park as a public space allows the integration of its community with architecture were become an important point between social cohesion and historical value. Living Square takes advantage of Saint-Gobain solutions and passive strategies in public and private space to provide a sustainable building, introducing a fundamental change in the neighborhood and its users, where new connections are generated, which facilitate access to public spaces. and private with high standards of multi-comfort allowing its users to live in a sustainable and comfortable environment.
