Biotopos urbanos - espacios genéricos polivalentes de pequeña a gran escala en la rehabilitación del humedal Juan Amarillo

Abstract

The city of Bogotá, distinguished by its great variety of spaces and ecosystems that coexist in an area surrounded by unique environmental characteristics throughout the country, has been affected over time by the different urban problems caused by the exponential and disorganized extension of its territory, which has generated problems at the population and environmental level, deteriorating the urban environment and causing the loss of public spaces and their existing environmental factors, one of these factors is wetlands, 15 of them in total of the complete extension of their territory, which have been direct victims of events that the capital is facing. Due to this, these pieces, limiting these bodies of water have suffered great losses, caused by the increasingly common problems that have led to the loss of their territorial characteristics and the informal transformation of the unconsolidated land, as well as, the deformation of its edge and its direct environmental characteristics. These areas, characterized by their natural factors, have become nodes of insecurity, population settlements and high-risk areas that have led to the environmental deterioration of the city. Its main ecological structure has been losing importance as the city grows and develops, so that the environmental context has been damaged by the social and urban context that the city faces, such as poor wastewater management, illegal dumping. , deforestation and deformation of the different ecosystems found in it, lead to a loss of endemic and cultural factors important for social development and in turn the loss and excessive dignification of flora and fauna, directly affected by these different types of problems that affect and change their natural habitat, inherently leading to the loss of the properties that make each of these environmental milestones unique.

The purpose of the rehabilitation is the urban recovery of the activities carried out in a specific sector, restoring its basic characteristics and strengthening the interaction with its environmental, urban and social surroundings. Therefore, this work is aimed at the formulation of design guidelines through urban biotypes that are applicable to a comprehensive urban project on a small and medium scale of natural ecosystems, such as the Juan Amarillo wetland in this case study and thus propose a comprehensive urban project as a social dynamizer, where it is expected to strengthen the integration of the previously named natural ecosystems, with the study area, controlling the phenomenon of the conurbation and thus giving a solution to the problems presented, making the place attractive and enriching for the population.
