Abstract

This document presents the socio-economic, environmental and public space problems that are evident in the La Igualdad neighborhood, Kennedy locality. Since its origin as an informal neighborhood, it has had spatial segregation effects that generate insecurity and a negative perception of the place. The origin of the neighborhood equality has had phenomena of urban fragmentation that have contributed to the social disintegration of the sector and harms the quality of life of its inhabitants. For this reason, it is intended to carry out an urban renewal that allows improving the spatial conditions and at the same time the quality of life of the resident and floating population of the sector. Generating conditions of sustainability, conservation and social welfare. In addition, mitigate the deterioration found to open spaces that can combat inequality taking into account the context that surrounds it and that its accessibility is not affected by the changes that can be made, but on the contrary, improve its communication to the project.
