Abstract

For several years, Bogotá has had a deficit in hospital infrastructure, because according to the WHO there must be a minimum of 2.5 beds per thousand inhabitants, and in Colombia, according to the latest data registered in the WHO in 2018, the country's hospitals and clinics There are only an average of 1.7 beds per thousand inhabitants, in addition to this deficit has been reflected in the current health emergency caused by COVID-19. In order to help reduce this deficit, the HAIB project is proposed, a Level III hospital, located in Bogotá- Bosa locality; based on environmental sustainability and innovation, offering an internal network of comprehensive service, this project has a fully functional development and is subject to the regulations for the design and construction of hospitals in Colombia, including building standards, health and the environment, among which which also takes into account some international standards that have been fundamental in the architectural development of the project.
