Abstract

The historical facts that were presented in this part of Fontibón and the role it played as a connection between Bogotá and the country through the port of Honda in Tolima and Barranquilla with the entry of goods from abroad since colonial times, serving as a hub of passage and rest for travelers and their goods, Some of these places have been transformed into nodes, because of the impact they have had, it has great historical importance for Fontibón and Bogotá considering the location where these areas have been located and has become the meeting point of the activities of the town. In accordance with the above and considering the relevance that public space has with its immediate context and its development throughout history, the revitalization of the road segment of Carrera 100 between the central park of Fontibón to the Railway Avenue is proposed, connecting the nodes of heritage interest in the sector, giving some priority to the pedestrian in order to generate areas of productivity that promote the appropriation, good management of it, social regeneration and also expand the index of public space. For this reason, the use of urban concepts such as open-air commercial streets, tactical urbanism and urban mobility is determined, with the objective of solving the factors that have been generated by the deterioration in mobility, the use of appropriate public space by informal and stationary vendors in the stretch of Railway Avenue to the central park.
