Tejiendo el paisaje histórico de érase una vez Facatativá

Abstract

Facatativá is located in the department of Cundinamarca, being of great importance for being the capital of the 15 provinces of the western savannah, it has one of the most important national monuments of the country, called the archaeological park of the stones of Tunjo achieving to be unique for its location in an urban context.

Taking into account the significance of the archaeological park as part of the historical and cultural apparatus of the municipality, characterized by its distinctive cave painting of the aborigines, who originally settled about 12 thousand years ago, and other representative heritage elements with which it currently has, where they are located in an isolated distribution with other historical sites and do not present any treatment or joint strategy that articulates them as environmental or landscape corridors.

As for the deterioration and abandonment in this foundational part, there are historical elements of the public space such as the archaeological park, the main square Simón Bolívar, the Santander park, the Santa Rita park and the railway line in inadequate uses for their conservation. All the above tends to an urban intervention that is proposed in the municipality with the aim of rescuing the history of our ancestors from forms embodied both in floor textures, roofs, flashes of light, furniture and other spaces, characterized by hieroglyphics and the distinctive rock painting linking the different Assets of Cultural Interest [BIC] showing the process of weaving from the very rural to the built.
