Abstract

During the last years the population that lives in large cities worldwide has been increasing, Bogotá has not been the exception, this occurs as a result of constant population growth and migration, these circumstances cause an urban expansion to be generated where a series of problems originate that brings about overpopulation and that directly affect the quality of life of those who inhabit it. The project develops an urban model under the concept of eco-neighborhood, contiguous to the Bilbao neighborhood in the town of Suba, an area that is part of the periphery, forming the urban edge of the city limited at this point with the Bogotá river, the Bilbao neighborhood currently It presents conditions of vulnerability and in addition, the extension of Suba Avenue and its junction with El Tabor Avenue are projected on this area, which is why the desire to form an urban piece that offers sustainable housing alternatives that adequately articulates to the structure arises ecological of the place taking into account mainly the population that will be forced to move during the execution of these works, turning the eco-neighborhood into an urban model to follow. It is framed in a descriptive research that helps to analyze the physical and social aspects of the place and the problems that arise in them to define the project. Under the line of investigation "Sociocultural Habitat" that seeks to inquire about the relationship established between the territory and those who inhabit it, its appropriation and development within it.
