WAKA Espacios de memoria ancestral Amoyá

Abstract

The following thesis takes as its center of study the need to recover the cultural traditions of the indigenous council Amoyá - Pijao, which has been lost over the centuries because of the violence suffered by the indigenous community in the Colombian territory; and as through experience and sensory connection within cultural spaces resignify the ancestral values inherited by their ancestors; through a spatial relationship with architecture, the architecture being a tool that records the symbolic expression of the object with its surroundings, through the connection between the worldview, cosmology of the Pijao culture, and on the other hand, the functional and stylistic spaces as generators of cultural transformation by the community towards the construction of collective memories, so that they are characteristic guidelines of ordering and strengthening the council within the territory, thus achieving an element that symbolically and functionally represents the cultural and historical importance of the community indigenous within the Colombian territory, from the person-centered design as the main design methodology, listening and creating under the criteria of the indigenous group, in order to develop a project according to the needs of the community. This project dynamics is developed from the construction of a memorial architecture, responding to the cultural dynamics of the community, achieving experimentation, reflection, sensation and appropriation of this as a symbolic and representative element of this indigenous population, and generating spaces of dynamics cultural that are used for a joint work towards research, participation and memorial construction that serves as a conductive thread as a transmission of dialogue between the past, the present and the future, as well as providing community spaces for meeting, ethnoeducation, ethnotourism, social participation and contemplation of the natural landscape, not only for the council, but also for the peasants and tourists of the territory.
