Abstract

Currently, in the rural zone of Manizales is showing a qualitative dwelling deficit of 2199 homes, according it exposes the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE, 2005) Which people lives in poorness condition, with spoilage in their homes and the environment what they locate, most of them are not in optimal conditions to be inhabited, now they are not counting with an appropriate structure system. Therefore, the research theme goes focused in the making of a sustainable dwelling, implementing the guadua in the space modeling and conformation in the rural dwelling from the township of Manizales. Is important to spotlight that is one of the townships of most guadua production, it will approach this natural material for the rural dwelling design, returning its importance in the architecture area and standing out the heritage what has in the township. Making count the design of a sustainable dwelling can generate a reduction of CO2 emission, water savings, energy and maintenance diminution and the construction price, what contributes in the social and economic development being like that, this investigation purposes a dwelling prototype with modular spaces, what adapts the rural zone and besides supplies the dweller basic needs, reducing diary economic spending and establishing better life conditions, Also to be a sustainable dwelling searches renewable systems that help to ease the environment spoilage.
