Abstract
This research project includes the problemic identification, process of analysis, diagnosis and development of a proposal urban-rural and urban-natural linkage at macro level in the Thomas van der Hammen reserve and at the micro level a sustainable urban design model on the southern edge of the reserve. The project seeks reflection and a critical look, starting from the need to remedy the consequences of the consumerist relationship of the human being with its natural environments throughout history. In order to find a comprehensive solution, it is necessary to address the proposal from two scales; Macro level, taking as a study area the reserve Thomas van der Hammen, It aims to solve occupation problems within the reserve that have mostly not been planned, and have been guided by interests that do not address the negative impact they have on the environment, on the landscape of the Bogota Savanna and on the sustainable future of the city, thus proposing spaces that articulate and resign the reserve as a sustainable productive territory, conservation and integration with the environment, able to mitigate the ecological fragmentation of the ecosystems in the north of the city and ensure sustainable development in the future. On the other hand, on a micro scale, the proposal addresses issues such as the occupancy models of a compact city and redensification on the edge, as an alternative to the demand for housing presented by the city of Bogotá. Finally, transitional spaces are projected (Ecotonos) between the natural and the artificial, that resign the edge as a place of interaction and integration with nature.
