Abstract
The Jaboque wetland, historically it has formed the principal part of the ecological structure from Bogota, as one of the water bodies with greater extension in the territory, but to the root of the processes of social occupation (informal settlements) and the constant transformations in the city (expansion), the importance of this as an ecosystem has been left aside without taking into account its functions: regulating element of the water cycle, habitat of endemic species and migratory of fauna and native flora of the region, because of this, a conflict is generated between the antrophic and the biotic, causing floods due to anti-tectonic fillers, pollution, the reduction of the water body and social troubles. Therefore, tit allows us to understand the natural process, having an approach to the initial state and considering irreversible alterations, as a result, the regeneration of the wetland in order to achieve a balance between the natural and built, from the integration of the population with the environment.
