With the purpose of analyzing the main causes which become deteriorated the guadua, eucalyptus and steel, it made a case study analyzing the durability of materials in a dome about six year of built in Mundo Aventura Park from Bogota DC, Colombia. The case study methodology was based on compilation of information, classification of deterioration, and a vulnerability rating to the atmospheric factors. It has been established on a scale about four levels for the protection evaluation about the dome design evidenced its reach and benefit in materials. It has been made many trials of climatological laboratory in the Gran Colombia University with differing periods and times, establishing the percentage of structure protection against the atmospheric factors. The case study was the base for demonstrating that the guaduas which shows a bad protection for design, they acquire damages such as photodegradation, fungus as a result of humidity and insects, this caused because of constantly maintaining, piece replacements for restoration.     Abstract

    La guadua es un material muy resistente y muy utilizado en la construcción, pero presenta lesiones muy comunes al estar expuestas a los agentes atmosféricos. como la fotodegradación, de esta se derivan unas lesiones secundarias; las cuales surgen cuando las guaduas están expuestas a los rayos ultravioletas empiezan con cambio de color por un blanquecino o grisáceo (fotodegradación), pero al estar demasiado tiempo expuestas a los rayos ultravioleta y demás agentes atmosféricos, pueden llegar a sufrir contracción del material lo que con lleva consigo a las fisuras, por medio de las fisuras llega el agua lo cual atrae hongos e insectos y estos puede llegar a producir pérdida de material. Con el fin de analizar las principales causas que deterioran la guadua, el eucalipto y el acero, se realizó un estudio de caso analizando la durabilidad de los materiales en un domo de seis años de construido en el parque Mundo Aventura de Bogotá D.C - Colombia. La metodología del estudio de caso se basó en una recopilación de información, una clasificación de deterioro, y una calificación de vulnerabilidad a los factores atmosféricos. Se estableció una escala de cuatro niveles para la evaluación de la protección por diseño del domo evidenciando su alcance y beneficio en los materiales. Se realizaron ensayos de laboratorio climático en la Universidad La Gran Colombia con diferentes épocas del año y horarios, estableciendo el porcentaje de protección de la estructura contra los factores atmosféricos. El estudio de caso fue base para llegar a lograr demostrar que las guaduas que presenten una mala protección por diseño adquieren lesiones como fotodegradación, hongos dados por la humedad e insectos, siendo esto causa de mantenimientos constantes, reemplazo de piezas para restauración. contrario si se tiene una buena protección por diseño desde el inicio, con base en la norma NSR-10 capítulo G Maderas y Guaduas “G. 12.12.4.4”.
