It defines concepts of curriculum and skills which were the ones named above.     Abstract

    Este artículo es el resultado del proceso de investigación que indagó sobre la importancia que tiene la práctica como herramienta en la construcción de competencias en los programas de Ingeniera Industrial, parte de investigaciones y documentos elaborados por Buritica (2012), Valle y Cabrera (2009), Letelier, López Carrasco y Pérez (2005), Palma, De los Rios, Miñán y Luy (2012), Zhan, Liang, Xiuju y otros (2014), para quienes el desarrollo de competencias laborales se evidencia como necesidad en el estudiante y para la sociedad, así como el empleo de la práctica antes de graduarse. Se conceptualizan las competencias halladas como laborales: personales, interpersonales, de gestión, específicas, de iniciativa para el cambio, liderazgo, flexibilidad, orientación a los resultados, orientación a la acción y sociabilidad. Se definen los conceptos de currículo y competencia, en los que se desarrollan las competencias antes mencionadas. Posteriormente se responde a la pregunta ¿Qué elementos debe incluir una propuesta que oriente el currículo hacia la enseñanza por medio de la práctica y el desarrollo de competencias en las instituciones de Educación Superior que ofrecen la carrera de Ingeniería Industrial? Para esto se utiliza la estadística descriptiva, aplicada a instituciones clasificadas como las mejores en cuanto a calidad (MEN, 2015), son comparadas determinando el empleo de las competencias laborales y la práctica dentro del currículo como medio de formación, para finalmente atender al objetivo de proponer un conjunto de criterios que permitan a las instituciones de Educación Superior que ofertan la carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, orientar el currículo hacia la enseñanza práctica y el desarrollo de las competencias de: orientación a los resultados, iniciativa para el cambio, liderazgo, orientación a la acción, flexibilidad y sociabilidad
