Hoy en día el mercado internacional se ha convertido en una fuente de ingreso rentable para los exportadores e importadores, ya que se han abierto las puertas a nuevos mercados; esto se debe a los diferentes medios de financiación que existen para poder cumplir con las expectativas de cada negocio. Los derivados financieros son instrumentos utilizados por inversionistas para cubrir algunas posiciones abiertas y disminuir el riesgo de inversión, igualmente estos sirve para especular y tratar de generar rentabilidad en el corto plazo. Los derivados financieros en este sector agrario en Colombia no son utilizados, debido a la falta de conocimiento, falta de asesoría y el riesgo que esta actividad tiene implícita como la volatilidad en los precios, las tasas de interés y el tipo de cambio (en el caso de exportadores). Adicionalmente este mercado está incursionando en nuestro país y el conocimiento por parte de los empresarios es mínimo, desconociéndose así sus ventajas y las oportunidades que podría generar para los negocios Por esta razón este proyecto da a conocer los principales instrumentos financieros que han surgido para brindar una estabilidad en el mercado para beneficio o desventaja el sector agricultor.
Abstract
Nowadays the international market has become a source of profitable income for exporters and importers, since the doors have been opened to new markets; This is due to the different means of financing that exist to be able to meet the expectations of each business. Financial derivatives are instruments used by investors to cover some open positions and decrease the risk of investment, also these are used to speculate and try to generate profitability in the short term. Financial derivatives in this agricultural sector in Colombia are not used, due to lack of knowledge, lack of advice and the risk that this activity has implicitly as volatility in prices, interest rates and the exchange rate (in the Case of exporters). Additionally this market is entering our country and the knowledge on the part of the entrepreneurs is minimal, thus not knowing its advantages and the opportunities that could generate for the businesses For this reason this project discloses the main financial instruments that have arisen to provide a market stability to benefit or disadvantage the farmer sector.
