As for the results, the most important is: the most frequent failures are the cultural barriers difference in values and beliefs, changes in the structure of the system by the reforms issued by the State and by technological advances, incompatible computer systems and customer service; in turn, is evidence that financial mergers bring better profits, as in the case between the years 2004-2005 without merger of Bancolombia profits accounted for 71.2% annually from 2005 to 2013 the merger, increased to 251.7% year compared to 2004, the result of the benefits corporate mergers.     Abstract

    El presente trabajo de investigación, analiza el impacto financiero generado por las falencias en la estructura del Sistema Financiero Colombiano en el sector bancario, que interfiere en los procesos de fusiones y adquisiciones financieras, acorde con el modelo de globalización, durante (2004-2013), basadas en estudio de caso Bancolombia y Bancomeva. Para ello, a través del diseño metodológico planteado y soportado sobre método cualitativo con manejo de encuesta e inferencia estadística y método cuantitativo con estadísticas descriptivas, se permitió validar la hipótesis de investigación que decía que: las falencias en la estructura del SFC en el sector bancario tanto internacional como nacional, interfieren en la ejecución de fusiones y adquisiciones financieras en Colombia. En cuanto a los resultados obtenidos, lo más relevante es: las falencias más frecuentes son la existencia de barreras culturales por diferencia en valores y creencias, los cambios en la estructura del sistema por las reformas expedida por el Estado y por los avances tecnológicos, los sistemas informáticos incompatibles y el servicio al cliente; a su vez, se evidencia que las fusiones financieras aportan mejores utilidades, pues para el caso entre el año 2004-2005 sin fusión de Bancolombia las utilidades representaron el 71.2% anual, a partir de la fusión 2005-2013, aumentaron hasta el 251.7% anual con relación al 2004, fruto de los beneficios que aportan las fusiones corporativas.
