Modelo de cluster urbano para la sabana de occidente

Abstract

Due to globalization, trade in different parts of the world has multiplied promoting economic growth. This is the case of Colombia, more specifically its capital, Bogotá DC where commercial and industrial growth has presented more strongly to the west of the city, in the town of Fontibón with higher industrial activity compared with other locations. This is due to the proximity to the "El Dorado" airport that has high levels of imports and exports. Followed Fontibón growth by industry, this sector has come to move to neighboring municipalities as Funza and Mosquera order to seek tax benefits, economic incentives, lower value per square meter (m2), among others. This has been influential in these municipalities due to uncontrolled population growth and accelerated by the shift of the industry to this sector, leading to housing shortages, equipment and utilities which decreases the quality of present and future life. For these reasons is to seek solutions while negatively affecting the industry in the city and in the towns, mitigating the deficit generated directly and indirectly by proposing a model of urban cluster with housing for workers in the town of Funza and achieves optimize connections to Bogotá and the region by train savannah.
