This situation has become a problematic, not only with regard to the dynamics of commuting by various road corridors that connect Facatativá with Bogota, but also raises the cost of living of the population in transport. Consequently, addressing the needs of people in Facatativa, and in order to reduce pressure on the road infrastructure, increase the supply of places of work, residence and recreation at the municipal level, the implementation of a zonal plan arises where, a free zone as a structuring of the operation, allowing knit interdependent relations with Bogota, consolidating the city as an industrial node in the regional context.     Abstract

    Facatativá, Cundinamarca, fue fundada en el año 1600 se ha caracterizado históricamente por tener una dependencia de Bogotá, la cual es Predomina en el sector económico; esto es fácilmente constatable con las dinámicas de movilidad entre ambos municipios, mas de 15.000 habitantes se desplazan diariamente hacia Bogotá con el objetivo de desarrollar sus prácticas económicas y esta misma población retorna el mismo día a sus hogares en el municipio para encontrar allí un lugar de descanso luego de sus actividades laborales. Esta situación deviene en una problemática, no solamente respecto a las dinámicas de desplazamiento diario por los diversos corredores viales que conectan a Facatativá con Bogotá, sino que además eleva los costos de vida de la población en materia de transporte. En consecuencia, atendiendo las necesidades de los habitantes de Facatativá, y con el objetivo de reducir la presión sobre la infraestructura vial, aumentar la oferta de lugares de trabajo, residencia y recreación en el ámbito municipal, se plantea la implementación de un plan zonal donde, una zona franca como estructurante de la operación, permita tejer relaciones de interdependencia con Bogotá, consolidando el municipio como un nodo industrial en el contexto regional.
