In its history, it has been a sector with a great commercial dynamic, a few years ago was a marketplace worked, and in the same way, with the passage of time, it continues being a place where the commerce of all type of articles plays a big role. Subsequently, over time the Bronx environment had certain transformations at the urban level that generated urban and social decline, in which not only prevailed informal commerce but actually a large invasion of public space.     Abstract

    El presente trabajo de grado tiene el propósito de exponer un proyecto arquitectónico multifuncional de rehabilitación y bienestar social para el tratamiento de la población vulnerable con adicción a drogas, en particular para los habitantes del “Bronx”. El cual es un sector en el centro de la ciudad de Bogotá, que por sus altos índices de comercio de sustancias ilícitas es considerado durante muchos años como una zona de bastante criminalidad y por ende, de alta peligrosidad para los habitantes de la capital de Colombia. Para comenzar, el sector denominado el “Bronx”, es un lugar de la capital en condiciones de deterioro urbano, el cual fue un escenario de albergue para expendedores y consumidores de estupefacientes, al igual que numerosos habitantes de calle durante las últimas décadas. En su historia, ha sido un sector con una gran dinámica comercial, debido a que hace algunos años funcionaba una plaza de mercado, y del mismo modo, con el paso del tiempo continúa siendo un lugar en donde el comercio de todo tipo de artículos juega un papel importante. Especialmente productos comestibles de tienda que abastecían no solo la ciudad sino los alrededores villas y ciudades menores. Posteriormente, con el paso del tiempo el entorno de Bronx tuvo ciertas transformaciones a nivel urbano que generaron un declive urbanístico y social, en el que no solo prevalecía el comercio informal sino una gran invasión del espacio público que devino en segregación social y en la configuración de zonas de miedo1. Por ello, es un lugar donde los ciudadanos del común de Bogotá tienden a evitar por su alta peligrosidad.
