Ejes de conexión para el turismo rural en San Juan de Rioseco: Propuesta de parque ecoturístico para la protección de la estructura ecológica existente y la potencialización del turismo rural en el municipio San Juan de Rioseco

Abstract

During the last few years, the town of San Juan de Rioseco has been affected by the decrease in tourist assistance, due to the low supply of activities distinct from festivals and fairs of San Juan and San Pedro and the implementation of different EOT (Territorial Ordering Schemes) established by law 388 of 1997 that regulates municipalities with less than 30.000 inhabitants, together with municipal development plans that have not allowed planning in the tourism sector. Despite its location and the presence of natural elements such as the eastern cordillera of the Andes, the valleys of the Rioseco de San Juan, the Magdalena river and the view of the Tolima, Ruiz and Santa Isabel peaks, which is one of the criteria of support in the development plans of the municipality, there is no use of these natural elements as tourist attractions. Furthermore, it is necessary to emphasize that it does not have a tourist infrastructure that meets the needs of the visiting population. With this in mind, a tourist park is proposed that includes leisure activities, accommodation, rural activities such as ecotourism, agrotourism and adventure tourism; supported by existing historical and ecological factors, in order to provide tourists with the opportunity to explore other regions of the country and a tourist attraction, which allows the sustainable development of tourism in the municipality, since this is a fundamental sector for the development of the Magdalena region center in the department of Cundinamarca
