Desde su origen como barrio informal ha tenido efectos de segregación espacial que generan inseguridad y una percepción negativa en el lugar. El origen del barrio la igualdad ha tenido fenómenos de fragmentación urbana que han contribuido con la desintegración social del sector y perjudica la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Es por esto, que se pretende realizar una renovación urbana que permita mejorar las condiciones espaciales y al mismo tiempo la calidad de vida de la población residente y flotante del sector. Generando condiciones de sostenibilidad, conservación y bienestar social. Además, mitigar los deterioros encontrados para abrir espacios que puedan combatir la desigualdad teniendo en cuenta el contexto que lo rodea y que su accesibilidad no se vea afectada por los cambios que se puedan realizar si no por el contrario mejorar su comunicación al proyecto.This document presents the socio-economic, environmental and public space problems that are evident in the La Igualdad neighborhood, Kennedy locality.
