Teniendo en cuenta que muchas de estas edificaciones no cumplen con los estándares establecidos en la normativa sismo resistente colombiana, NSR-10, lo que aumenta el riesgo tanto para las estructuras como para la vida de sus habitantes en caso de un evento natural (sismo). Basándonos en la anterior apreciación; La Asociación Colombiana de Ingeniería Sísmica (AIS), a través del anexo técnico AIS 410-23, propone un proceso para evaluar y reducir la vulnerabilidad sísmica de estas viviendas, reconociendo que este tipo de construcción es común en numerosas Localidades, ciudades y municipios del país. Por esta razón la presente investigación subraya la necesidad de abordar estas deficiencias con el fin de dar una mejora a la seguridad de las comunidades afectadas.This research focuses specifically on non-formal masonry constructions carried out in single-family homes in Bogotá D.C., highlighting their vulnerability to seismic events.
