Es importante tomar medidas para proteger el ecosistema del Valle Cocora y promover prácticas sostenibles en el turismo, agricultura y comercio para preservar este importante patrimonio natural para las generaciones futuras. Por medio de un acercamiento a estrategias que logren establecer la articulación equilibrada entre las diferentes dinámicas en Salento y garanticen el debido cuidado y conservación de áreas de gran importancia ambiental en la zona. Es necesario fomentar el respeto y cuidado de la reserva natural, así como fortalecer la vigilancia y aplicación de leyes para combatir el turismo ilegal y la invasión de espacios protegidos.
