A partir de un enfoque integral, se analizarán conceptos clave como la apropiación social, la relación entre espacio y territorio, la resiliencia, el bienestar colectivo y la riqueza cultural de la comunidad, con el objetivo de formular lineamientos de diseño urbano que orienten la planificación de espacios públicos inclusivos y funcionales. A partir de esta investigación, se busca en que estos espacios no solo se beneficien el encuentro y la participación social, sino que también actúen como escenarios para fortalecer el sentido de identidad y pertenencia, respetando la diversidad y promoviendo la integración de las múltiples expresiones culturales presentes en el municipio. En este contexto, el texto plantea estrategias que permitan que la configuración del espacio público responda a las necesidades reales de la comunidad, fomentando el tejido social y la construcción de un entorno que refleje la historia, la memoria y la identidad colectiva de Villarrica. Finalmente, a través de este estudio, se pretende aportar herramientas para un diseño urbano más humano y sostenible, que contribuya a la consolidación de un municipio con más capacidades en la gestión pública, donde el espacio público sea un motor de desarrollo social y un punto de encuentro para la diversidad.This thesis addresses public space as an essential element in social construction, community development, and the well-being of the population within the relocation process of Villarrica, Tolima. Through a comprehensive approach, key concepts such as social appropriation, the relationship between space and territory, resilience, collective well-being, and the cultural richness of the community will be analyzed, with the aim of formulating urban design guidelines that guide the planning of inclusive and functional public spaces. This research seeks for these spaces not only to facilitate social encounter and participation, but also to serve as settings that strengthen the sense of identity and belonging, while respecting diversity and promoting the integration of the multiple cultural expressions present in the municipality. In this context, the text proposes strategies that allow the configuration of public space to respond to the real needs of the community, fostering social fabric and building an environment that reflects the history, memory, and collective identity of Villarrica.
