dc.description	El sistema penal acusatorio en Colombia presenta varios desafíos a los que se enfrenta la investigación criminal, además de representar un cambio en la forma cómo se investiga, sobresale la oralidad, tendientes a cumplir con el objetivo de llegar a la verdad de los hechos más allá de toda duda razonable. A su vez, la estructura de audiencias públicas en las que son fundamentales los elementos materiales probatorios, la evidencia física y la información legalmente obtenida, todos ellos debidamente argumentados y siguiendo las pautas establecidas en el Código de Procedimiento Penal y en los protocolos técnicos avalados para tal fin en diversas disciplinas como la balística, la fotografía, la documentología y grafología, la acústica y la química forense, entre otras. De acuerdo con el informe de la Cerac1, las armas de fuego son el mayor generador de violencia y el 80% de los homicidios ocurridos durante el año pasado en el país se registraron por esa causa. La balística en cuanto estudia los proyectiles y/o vainillas, sus movimientos, dirección, alcance, recorrido y características especiales, además de los cotejos para la identificación del arma de fuego incriminada, determina el éxito2 en la investigación criminal de este tipo. dc.description.abstract	The penal accusatory system in Colombia presents several challenges which the criminal investigation faces, beside representing a change in the form how it is investigated, there stands out the orality, tending to expire with the aim to come to the truth of the facts beyond any reasonable doubt. In turn, the structure of public hearings in which there are fundamental the material evidential elements, the physical evidence and the information legally obtained, all of them due argued and following the guidelines established in the Code of Penal Procedure and in the technical protocols supported for such an end in diverse disciplines as the ballistics, the photography, the documentología and graphology, the acústica and the forensic chemistry, between others. In agreement with the report of the Cerac, the weapon of fire is the major generator of violence and 80 % of the homicides happened during last year in the country they registered for this reason. The ballistics in all that he studies the missiles and / or vanillas, his movements, direction, scope, tour and special characteristics, besides the checks for the identification of the weapon of fire accused, determine the success in the criminal investigation of this type.
