| dc.description | 10 years after the 1999 earthquake in the Coffee Region, it´s inevitable to ask oneself about the reconstruction process inasmuch as it was not a strategy to build housing solutions but an intervention which implies long term social transformations. Thereby, it was considered that rebuilding the social tissue was an indispensable condition for the success of the process. This text inquire about the criterion ruling the social tissue reconstruction projects, analyses theoretical grounds, and contrasts some of the results with the perceptions and experiences collected through interviews made to the actors of the process. It concludes that the social tissue reconstruction departing from the citizen participation found difficulties (administrative, organizational and planning) to question its scope. It is a historical responsibility with the city and its habitants, to maintain the discussion about the process of reconstruction and the challenges towards the future of the region. | en |
| dc.description | Pasados más de diez años del terremoto del “Eje Cafetero†de 1999, es ineludible preguntarse por el proceso de reconstrucción, puesto que no era una estrategia para construir soluciones de vivienda, sino una intervención que implica trasformaciones sociales a largo plazo. Por ello se consideraba que reconstruir el “tejido social†era condición indispensable para el éxito del proceso. Este texto indaga por los criterios que rigieron los proyectos de reconstrucción del “tejido social†, sopesa sus bases teóricas y contrasta algunos resultados con las percepciones y experiencias recogidas en entrevistas a actores del proceso. Se concluye que la reconstrucción del “tejido social†, a partir de la participación ciudadana, encontró dificultades (administrativas, organizacionales y de planeación) que ponen en duda su alcance. Es una responsabilidad histórica con la ciudad y sus habitantes mantener la discusión acerca del proceso de reconstrucción y los retos para el futuro de la región. | es |
