Abstract

To design the sewage network for the Bosa San José II sector, an initial activity involved conducting a survey of the infrastructure in the area and a socio-economic investigation of the sector. This was accomplished using Geographic Information Systems (IDECA and SINUPOT) and government entities such as DANE, the District Planning Secretary, and the Office of Government. These efforts helped establish the necessary parameters for determining the allocation rates and population projections. Subsequently, research was conducted on existing network information in the area, utilizing SIGUE-EAAB and the planoteca division of the Bogotá Aqueduct and Sewerage Company (EAAB-ESP). It was found that the existing chamber CMP162940 is located within the study area. In parallel, the population for a 30-year design period was projected in accordance with the NS standard of SISTEC (Bogotá Aqueduct and Sewerage Company, 2023), ensuring that it does not exceed the population density specified in the POT (Territorial Ordering Plan). After obtaining the necessary information, technical and regulatory design parameters for sanitary sewer networks required by EAAB-ESP are presented. The corresponding hydraulic validation is performed using the Excel-based PAVCO spreadsheet, which is formulated and endorsed for this purpose. This tool also enables the establishment of hydraulic profiles, foundation and backfill types, as well as the quantities of work, to be budgeted with the base prices of EAAB-ESP. Finally, the obtained results are analyzed along with the corresponding conclusions.
