dc.descriptionEl siguiente artículo estudia el comportamiento de los mercados bursátiles que componen el Mercado Integrado Latinoamericano (MILA), durante el periodo comprendido entre los años 2008 y 2013. Lo anterior, con el fin de dilucidar el efecto que ha tenido la integración en el desarrollo de los mercados. Así mismo, este artículo estudia el comportamiento del MILA y de tres mercados de América; Estados Unidos, México y Brasil. Dicho lo anterior, se establece la posición del MILA respecto a estos. Se hace uso de información histórica de carácter público, comprendida entre enero 15 de 2008 y diciembre 31 de 2013, proveniente de fuentes objetivas y reconocidas por los mercados. Se desarrolla un análisis comparativo entre las series de retornos de los índices bursátiles correspondientes para cada mercado. Lo anterior, en base a cinco indicadores de comportamiento en los mercados: crecimiento, tamaño, liquidez, riesgo y concentración de mercado. El principal aporte de este trabajo, es servir de herramienta en la comprensión del MILA y su impacto en los mercados que lo componen. Adicionalmente, aporta a la comprensión de los mercados objeto de estudio, con el fin de realizar una aproximación a la inserción de la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores al MILA. es-ES
dc.descriptionThe following article reviews performance of stock exchange markets members of the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA, Spanish abbreviation) in the period of time 2008 – 2013. The above, in order to explain the effect of integration on market development. Likewise, this article reviews MILA performance, and three markets of America: The United States, Mexico, and Brazil. Then the MILA posture regarding these three markets is established. Public historical information between January 15, 2008 and December 31, 2013, coming from objective sources and recognized by such markets is used. A comparative analysis is made between series of returns from stock exchange indexes corresponding to each market. The above, based on five market performance indexes: growth, sized, liquidity, risk, and market concentration. The main contribution made by this work, is to serve as a tool to understand the MILA, and its impact on its composing markets. In addition, this work contributes to comprehension of studied markets, in order to make an approach to insertion of the Mexican stock exchange into the MILA.en-US
