The previous thing, like a rebellious element to the hyperspecialization of the sciences and that it leads to the fragmentation of the knowledge. For this research, the qualitative approach that allows a better analysis of the university educational context was selected, followed by this, using the documentary research method, which allows the construction of knowledge using the analysis of multiple secondary sources. As for the instruments used to collect the information, a couple of cards were designed to facilitate the registration and organization of the sources consulted. The central theme of the research is to expose in a clear and concise way, the relationship of interdisciplinarity and the theory of knowledge, clarifying each of the concepts that intervene in it.     Abstract

    El presente artículo tiene como objetivo determinar la importancia y los efectos de la interdisciplinariedad en la educación superior. Lo anterior, como un elemento contestatario a la hiperespecialización de las ciencias que conlleva a la fragmentación del conocimiento. Para esta investigación se seleccionó el enfoque cualitativo que permite hacer un mejor análisis del contexto educativo universitario, seguido a esto, se emplea el método investigativo documental, el cual permite la construcción de conocimientos empleando el análisis de múltiples fuentes secundarias. En cuanto a los instrumentos utilizados para recolectar la información se diseñaron un par de fichas que facilitaron el registro y organización de las fuentes consultadas. El tema central de la investigación pretende exponer de forma clara y concisa, la relación de la interdisciplinariedad y la teoría del conocimiento, aclarando cada uno de los conceptos, que en ella intervienen. Por otra parte se muestra como la interdisciplinariedad en lugar de eliminar las disciplinas las fortalece, además de generar beneficios para los estudiantes y la sociedad
