In addition, the theory of Alessandro Barrata was criticized by the Criminology School, where the ultimate aim was to reduce the "ideology of social defense" 1, which was substantiated through the general principles of the penal system (the principles Of good and evil, of guilt, of equality, of social interest and of natural crime, of the end or of prevention.) And how are these concepts used in the application of protocols established in Colombia for the determination and management of Scourge of the serial killers that although it is not common, if it is a factor that affects the most vulnerable populations. The intention to use these criminological theories is based on the intention to demonstrate that these theories are determinant for the application of the protocols created by the institute of legal medicine.     Abstract

    Esta revisión tiene como finalidad describir los conceptos propios de las características que enmarcan al delincuente realizando énfasis en el asesino serial y como se puede determinar en las escuelas del positivismo criminológico basada en el método científico la cual se apoya en las teorías de Cesare Lombroso, Raffaele Garofalo y Enrico Ferri, donde se evidencian distintas visiones, desde lo antropológico hasta lo sociológico, pasando por diferentes disciplinas las cuales fortalecieron el conocimiento empírico sobre la clasificación y determinación delincuentes. Adicionalmente por parte de la escuela de la criminología critica la teoría de Alessandro Barrata, donde la finalidad última era la de abatir la ideología de la defensa social, la cual se sustanciaba a través de los principios generales del sistema penal (los principios del bien y del mal, de culpabilidad, de igualdad, de interés social y del delito natural, del fin o de la prevención).Y como son esgrimidos estos conceptos en la aplicación de los protocolos establecidos en Colombia para la determinación y el manejo del flagelo de los asesinos en serie que aunque no es común, si es un factor que afecta a las poblaciones más vulnerables. La intención de utilizar estas teorías criminológicas se basa en la intención de demostrar que estas teorías son determinantes para la aplicación de los protocolos creados por el instituto de medicina legal.
