    Abstract

    La presente investigación está enfocada hacia el análisis del impacto financiero derivado de las falencias en educación financiera, que influyen en los resultados de desempeño en la prueba PISA en Colombia durante el periodo 2011 – 2014, para su desarrollo se utilizaron modelos cualitativos de inferencia estadística y modelos cuantitativos de estadística descriptiva, con el fin de orientar estrategias en el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de la población. Como resultado de la investigación se pudo comprobar la hipótesis de investigación que enunciaba que: un cambio en los objetivos estratégicos en la educación básica y media, mejoraría el nivel de la educación financiera en Colombia, así, mientras no se defina una verdadera política de Estado, relacionada con el cambio de modelo en la educación, que sea coherente con el modelo globalizante de la aldea global, se estará lejos de mostrar buenos desempeños en evaluaciones internacionales, bajo las competencia de la prueba PISA tales como: lectura, matemáticas, ciencias y educación financiera.
