Abstract

The municipality of Buga, located in the Valle del Cauca country, is recognized for its important tourist value chiefly religious due to important milestones recognized nationally and internationally as the Basilica of Señor de Los Milagros, which is visited by many people from all over the world, situated in the historical center of the city, where it can also recognize the most important elements such as the Parque Jose Maria Full and the Pacific Railway station declared cultural heritage for its important history and contribution to the development of the city. However, this railway sector worked along with other buildings in the issue of transport have lost use, due to the creation of the new transport terminal, which negatively affected activities reported in this sector, making it a place of abandoned buildings and a sector deteriorated and forgotten. On the other hand, is that the current offer of cultural facilities of is minimal, with only two buildings dedicated to this use, taking into account that the city has a very high cultural value and has a lot of potential it can offer. In addition, in the historical center of the municipality is the focus of the informal trade, established in the most important commercial points, bringing with this problem as the subjects of vehicular and pedestrian mobility, the inappropriate use of public space, environmental pollution as a result of the waste and debris that accumulate at certain points in the center after completing work activities. In this way are important issues in the code, to which the project seeks to solve them by means of the strategy for revitalizing the different spaces and the integration of new properties that integrate a more appropriate use to the railway station in addition to the creation of new opportunities for the municipality.
